![]() Message from your FSK AiA Curator: Art in Action is going strong this first year with all classrooms participating. Thank you very much to all our teachers, to our parent volunteers in their roles as classroom docents and assistants, grade level docents and assistants, and behind the scenes support including Christina Miller as Supplies Coordinator, all led by FSK AiA School Coordinator Lorraine Leber, and to Mr. Wong and our PTA for making this happen. The kids are having a great time and they soon will be able to act as docents on their own!
Our first show is up at Ortega Library, through May 3rd. Our closing reception there is May 1st, 6:30-7:30pm. Light refreshments are being provided by the PTA. One piece of art per class was selected.
Our school wide show takes place on May 18th, Family Fun Day, on the 1st floor of our school. Students are in the process now of selecting their art, which will then be mounted, labelled, and prepared for installation on all boards, entrance way, and display tables. One piece of art, chosen by each student, will be displayed. During this day, students may act as docents and describe their works.
We are looking forward to a great show.
Thank you,
Catherine Fallis, Mom of Miles/103
