Events

Throughout the year the PTA runs events to benefit FSK and build our school community. The following list are some of the key events that the PTA either runs or with which it significantly helps. The events are subject to change from year to year.

  • Winter Ball is a fun semi-formal evening dance for grades K-5.
  • Movie Night is a chance for everyone to get together and watch a movie on a Friday night, like the old times.
  • Grandparents Celebration Have lunch with the grandkids.
  • Back-to-School Night
  • School-Wide Picnic A day in the park.
  • Art in Action Show An evening of creativity.
  • Science Night Celebrate our little scientists.
  • Skate Night Can you still ice skate?
  • Gala Such a lovely evening. Our biggest event.
  • International Day/International Night is a great way for students to learn about other cultures and for families to teach others about their cultures with an evening potluck. Teachers organize this and the PTA provides volunteers.
  • Halloween Pumpkin Patch is a chance to march in a parade and dress up like your favorite super hero or scary creature.
  • Christmas may bring a visit from St. Nick before he hits the chimneys in the city later in the month. The PTA feeds the reindeer.
  • Game Night is a evening to leave the video games at home and play some old school board games.
  • Lunar New Year Festival gives a chance to many students participating in various cultural programs to show off.
  • Family Fun Day is a spring time whole day party at the school on a weekend.
  • Teacher Appreciation gives us a chance to say a little Thank You to the hard working staff of the school.
  • Kindergarten Play Dates happen in the summer and give incoming kindergarten families an opportunity to get to know other families and get questions answered about the school.
