This week FSK began a fight to save a special day class that serves our most severely disabled children. The program is called ITALC (pronounced "i talk") and many consider it the soul of our school community. Specially trained teachers in our ITALC classrooms teach our children to communicate with alternative communication techniques and electronic devises.
On Monday, March 3 at 6 p.m. at the FSK auditorium, we meet again with SFUSD district representatives regarding our demand to save ITALC at FSK and give the children who so badly need it a permanent space where they are familiar and welcomed by their community. We urge our FSK community to join us on Monday. Please wear your FSK colors. Continue to sign and share the petition, and spread the word that we need to save ITALC at FSK.
