FRESH FRUIT WEDNESDAYS

Tradition

This was something started in our school many years ago.  I would like to continue this, as it is a wonderful opportunity for community sharing and a way to encourage healthy eating.

 What to Do

• Each Wednesday, one family will bring in fruit. You and/or your child can choose any fruit, whatever is in season is welcome.  Our class has 22 kids.

• Please provide a small, snack-sized amount for each child.  Some examples: ½ a banana, a few strawberries, a few slices of apple, or a slice of watermelon. 

• To make sharing easy, please wash and cut fruit at home. 

• Fruit should be sent to school on Wednesday mornings. 

• Containers will be rinsed and returned, unless otherwise indicated.

When is it your turn?

Click on above link for dates that parents signed-up for on Back to School Night and any remaining dates were assigned.  If you are unable to provide fruit on your scheduled dates, please contact me immediately, so I have time to arrange for switches/changes with the other parents.

The fruit is served at approximately 8:55 a.m. to 9:10 a.m.  Please let me know if you wish to come and help serve on a Wednesday.
